Ash Garden Trilogy

The Ash Garden series is a scifi dystopia taking place on a distant planet, years beyond our current lifetimes. It centers around human struggle, connection, and corporate greed. As a group of strangers find connection, humanity, and fight to survive in a crumbling world they’re trying to save.

Each book cover features the cycle it's in, with the moon setting and sun eventually rising by the last book to convey the course of the story. Each cover displays where the characters are emotionally and physically within their journey, with the Edenfall being the moon rising in a desert/hopelessness, Requiem being the moon setting in a ravine/separation and loss, and Endsong being the sun rising on lush greenery/new beginnings and hope. The colors reflect this as well, yellow and orange associated with caution, uncertainty and fear, black with loss and mourning, and green with life and hope. The typeface was chosen after analyzing other sci-fi book covers which focus on sans-serif and technological designs, and a vertical layout for a more engaging way of conveying depth within the images.
